Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about outdoor kitchens, our steel-frame construction, timeline, materials, and process.

Timeline & Process

How long does it take to build an outdoor kitchen?

Our outdoor kitchens can be ready in as little as 3 weeks under certain conditions. If you select granite countertops, expect at least 6 weeks total: your kitchen structure is delivered in approximately 3 weeks and ready for granite templating, then granite fabrication takes at least 3 additional weeks from the template date. The process of selecting your granite slab adds a minimum of 3 additional weeks to the overall timeline. Because we build in our Fairview shop rather than on-site, production continues rain or shine with no weather delays.

Why does granite add so much time to the project?

Granite requires a precise multi-step process: (1) Your kitchen structure is built and delivered in approximately 3 weeks, (2) The structure must be in place for exact templating, (3) You visit the granite supplier to select your slab, (4) Granite fabrication takes at least 3 weeks from the template date. This careful process ensures a perfect fit and flawless finish.

Where is my outdoor kitchen built?

Your outdoor kitchen is fabricated in our shop in Fairview, Utah—not on your property. This means quality control, precision welding, and faster turnaround. We deliver a nearly-complete unit to your home for final installation.

What happens during the consultation?

We'll visit your home, measure your space, look at your patio or deck, and discuss your vision for the outdoor kitchen. We'll also talk about your budget range and cooking/entertaining style. It's a no-pressure conversation—we like people and want to help you create your dream outdoor kitchen, whether that's with us or not.

Can I upload design ideas or inspiration photos?

Yes! Our contact form allows file uploads so you can share design ideas, photos of your space, or inspiration images you've collected.

Steel Frame Construction

Why do you use steel frame instead of traditional masonry?

Utah's freeze-thaw cycles cause seasonal ground movement that cracks and misaligns traditional masonry outdoor kitchens. Our welded steel tube frame with adjustable feet handles this movement, keeping your kitchen level and your appliances properly supported. It's also lightweight enough for deck installation without major structural modifications.

Will my appliances droop or sag over time?

No. Our steel frame completely supports all appliances and accessories. We guarantee they won't droop or sag—the frame is engineered to maintain its integrity through Utah's seasonal ground movement.

Can a steel frame outdoor kitchen be installed on my deck?

In most cases, yes. Because our steel frame construction is significantly lighter than masonry, it can often be installed on existing decks and patios with fewer structural modifications. The adjustable feet allow precise leveling on uneven surfaces. We'll assess your specific situation during the consultation.

How durable is steel frame construction?

Extremely durable. The steel frame is protected by cladding on the exterior, making it resistant to the elements. It's designed specifically for Utah's demanding climate—hot summers, cold winters, and everything in between.
